I am a small group reading teacher working with kindergarten, first and second grade students. I am so overwhelmed and don't know how to get started.....
lleydeI would be interested in this answer. I have a similar situation, my unit is Multiplication & Division, but mainly focusing on the division section.
Many questions on component 2. What type of writing have others used. Can it be a summary students have wrote on a book or does it need to be a narrative, persuasive and opinion?
Im a mentor. I had 3 candidates in my group score 1.0 on different components!! Im just sick :( Im totally convinced that there is a glitch somewhere, but who has $500 to fight (or question) a losing battle.
Is there anyone - anywhere -- who scored 1.0 -- on anything????
According to the instructions for component 2, the instructional sequence for this entry must be no less than three weeks and no more than three months. Does this mean 15 consecutive days or more? What exactly is meant by instructional sequence in this context?
SaraMe too! NBCT 2009, EMC/LRLA... I'm hoping I didn't wait too long, and that I have enough time to get it all done. (I wanted to start earlier, but the beginning of this school year was a whirlwind -- new state, new district, new school, new grade...)
Hi! If I am renewing in my last year and I happen to not pass, am I correct in understanding that I cannot make a second attempt at renewal? In other words, if you fail your renewal, you can only try again if you were renewing in your 8th year? The wording in the renewal info is confusing. Thanks!
Michelle65Yes, that is true. You can fail in year 8 and try again in year 9 but if you fail in year 9, you're done--unless you want to start all over. I was told at a workshop, however, that only about 3% fail to recertify.
