Hi there, I received my National Board Certification as an MCGEN in 2010. However, for the last several years, I have stayed at home with my small children and have not been in the classroom. I did teach science and social studies last year part-time at a private school. This year, I have a tiny job teaching social skills three hours per week at the local public school. I know it is a long-shot, but does anyone think that I have a chance at all of renewing my certificate even though I have been out of the traditional classroom for several years?
jramsue I am renewing this year. I think you could - as long as you could borrow a classroom!
