Instructional Activity 1 & Activity 2 Forms

Quick Question... I am doing my C2 on two activities that are sequenced back to back in 7th grade math. They are both coming from teaching students how to add and subtract positive and negative numbers. The first activity is concrete using red and black counters. The second activity is representational where the students draw their own circles with positive and negative signs in them to illustrate positive and negative numbers. Now for my question... On Number 2 for each activity form it asks "What is the purpose of this activity?" The purpose for both activities are for the students to understand that we use positive and negative numbers in our everyday life with such things as checking accounts, temperature, elevation. Can I use the same purpose for both activity sheets without them taking off points for it?
