Exceptional Needs Content Knowledge

I'm working on my MOC for exceptional needs, and I'm drawing a blank for content knowledge. Whenever I start writing, I slip into pedagogy. Can someone give me direction? Perhaps some examples of Exceptional Needs content knowledge.
