Have you looked at the Resources on their site? We don't have Star either, I just use the student's guided reading level and the Goal setting resource on the site to set individual goals. It has worked successfully for my students. I do let them read whatever they want, a lower book is only worth .5, while a book at their level would be at least 3 ...See More
