I start by writing predictable chart with the children,
typing them on paper, cutting them apart and having each
child reconstruct their sentence at the end of the week
(making a class book/ illustrations)after we have read
them, and did sentence builders. I feel at the end of the
year they should do something more as they are writing so
well in their journals. What do you do with Predictable
charts thoughout the year?

in a literacy station. They can highlight rhyming words,

After doing this two or three times I begin typing the sentences for the them and cutting them apart. After about another month or so (depending on readiness) I begin having the children cut the sentences apart to help them understand words vs letters...See More
