Do you need to stop me? Please just let me be I hear you calling ‘mat time’ but I just don’t think you see. See, here I am with my all friends engaged in making ‘tea’ With some soft green leaves, a bit water and some sand from the sea. I’m making one for you, Please just let me be, I want you to see what I am making, And smile back at me. I am very busy and I’m sure that you can see, But when you make me stop you miss out on what could be It’s hard for me to stop when I just need to be See what you don’t understand is I am on a learning spree I am learning to be creative, social, and free So do you need to stop me? Please just let me be Routines can wait another five My learning should be the key.
It is a brilliant poem, full of truth, and an absolutely beautiful description of why we should respect children as thinking, productive, and creative human beings.
Interesting that many behavior problems in child care would be non-existent if adults would heed what this poem says.

I'm partial to cultural-historical psychology and M.I. I just love the concepts of the stimulus response affect on my preschoolers' ZPD and the multifaceted approach of diversified teaching and learning. What do you like and why?
i teach 21 students 5-8 but also watch 16 students under 4.none have parents so i watch them.like a babysiter.what do i do with the little kids during school.the youngest is 2 days
Hi! I am looking for a website that had photos of different pretend set ups they had done. I remember a big pirate ship they made for one. I also think they had ideas and some printables for themes - like maybe pets? Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks!

I am going to ask the other teacher how she feels about an greement like that. It just might work since after the biting incident, he only yelled at me once the rest of the week.
Hopefully that work. I guess I can go ahead and start praying for his Kindergarten teacher.LOL
