In order to keep my program licensed, I need to either do the CDA thing or get an associate's degree in ece. Our state does not recognize my ece training since the paperwork for the university does not match that of the state's. I have decades of experience in the field as a teacher, administrator and mentor so any program should be ok. I just have to find a program that I can ask if it will count for state licensing if I complete the requirements. We live in a town that has both a community college and university that offer both associates and bachelors. However, my personal time for going to classes is very limited right now and I would rather just do it on line when I can work on it when the family is asleep.

Do any of you have suggestions of programs I can consider? I have no idea which ones are legit. Thanks for any ideas!

Schari So with your BA, it sounds like you likely already have a lot of the classes you need for your Associate's in ECE.

That's crazy that your BA doesn't count for something, even though not in ECE.

Of course I don't understand your situation fully, but I think I'd go for the AA in ECE if I were you and wanted to stay in ECE.

Schari I absolutely agree and emphathize with you on the govt. rules. Seems there is no room for handling things in a different way if the situation is different. We each have to fit the same cookie cutter. Frustrates me too. It seems ludicrous in your situation. Sorry it is this way for you.
