I was thinking about toddlers and preschoolers in play. I have realized that I had not observed as closely in what I thought were "play jags". (Someone who sticks to one center consistently for weeks). Have you observed that along the lines of an extended, singular play scheme such as playing in the block or dramatic play area consecutively for two weeks or more, that a child is building an internal representation of a social or cognitive fractal algorithm? Pretty cool the theory holds true!!!
