Wikispaces Classroom

In case anyone is looking for a new classroom website, Wikispaces now has a classroom version of K-12 teachers. It is really cool! You can post discussion topics for students and post classroom events. These show up right on the home page. You can also create projects, where students can have their own webpage to work on assignments. However, the best part of Wikispaces Classroom is that students do not need e- mail addresses to be added as members. Teachers can create personal usernames and passwords for their students and set the privacy settings so that only students in the class have access to the site. Since I did a project about this tool for a grad school project, I have a series of PDF handouts if anyone is interested. I am a new member of this online community, and I just wanted to share this great new idea!
