help with google sites

I'm trying to create a class web site but I'm having problems using google sites. I have my side bar set up but when I click on it, nothing happens. I know I have to link it to something but how do I do it? ex. on the side bar I have Weekly Spelling Lists, I want to click on it to go to a page that I have typed in the list. Help.

Bob/VA You have to create a hyperlink to the website page you want them to see.

Open the website page you want - copy the url - go to your list - highlight whatever you've name the page - click on Insert - scroll down to Hyperlink - click on that - it opens a window where you paste (or type in) the url. Repeat for all in your list - using the app...See More

Bob/VA I'm not at all familiar with google sites. However, assuming you have X amount of server space that is "yours" you should be able to upload your file to the site and give it a unique name. Locate that file, copy it's "address" paste, or type, that as mentioned below.

I manage a website for my little league - I have 90mb of space to play with. I don't want to clutter up the home (or other pages) with volumes of stuff that have to be waded through if they are not of interest to the user. I upload my files to the server and create hyperlinks that point to the whatever it is file. Those interested click on the link and it opens the file - those not interested aren't forced to read through it.

Again, it's not really that difficult - once you walk through it you'll "own" it... (-8

Question - why are you using word pefect? MS Word is much more commonly used - Adobe pdf files are practically universal.

Ron I agree with the PDF. If your version of WP does not have PDF capabilities, then download a free copy of OpenOffice. Then do this: 1) Save each WP document as a RTF 2) Import the RTF into OpenOffice 3) Save as PDF 4) Select file and then export/put/upload to your site
