Hello everyone! My class is creating our first newsletter. So far, so good! I was wondering if anyone knows how to type text in on a black square? I've tried clicking white on the black but nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

Bob/VA You are most likely talking about a "text box". Go to the "Insert" drop down menu, find "Text Box" and pick one that you like. You can position it anyplace you'd like as well as resizing to suit your purpose. Neal The type layers over the background object, or the object itself can have whit text inside it.

Use Insert - Text Box select the box and right click choose Format Text box and choose a fill color and opacity, you can also have a border(bounding box) line or not, of the same color or not.
