New computer teacher

Hello everyone!! I am taking a career change and just got a job as a computer teacher for kids from prek-8th grade. Ive never taught in the classroom before!! However I am good with computers but i was wondering anyone can give me some tips, maybe programs they use, classroom management tips, things i should be buying for the classroom, Etc. Pretty much any information you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Very helpful in classroom management and also when you need to install applications and updates etc.

Since you will be shadowing the teacher, you will find out more. This is a mid-year change, so it may be a good idea to learn what she has been doing and if her management and curriculum is OK, to stick with it before making any big changes. You may want to jot down the things you wonder about and have them ready to ask her after she gives you the "tour." Also watch how she interacts with the students and their response to her. My feeling is if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The children will be experiencing enough change with the previous teacher leaving. Younger students may find it hard to adapt. (Unless of course everything is in really bad shape.)

Let us know if you are having any problems or question after the shadowing.

MIa Thank you!! i am sure I will have a lot of questions for you when im done shadowing the teacher. But I am definitely taking your advice!! She is a great teacher so I don't think I will be changing a lot of things!! thanks again!!!
