Hi,

First let me confess that I am like an infant when it comes to some areas of technology, and this is one of them. I don't even have an iPod or fancy cell phone or anything like that.

I am downloading a couple of youtube videos to my iMac (OS v 10.4.11) using zamzar--so the videos will be an attachment to the email that I'll receive.

I selected downloading to a wmv format because that's what a friend told me would be good.

Once I get the videos emailed to me and download them to my Mac, how do I put them onto a DVD so I can send them to friends and families who have DVD players but they don't necessarily have a computer?

The other choices for downloading were: 3gp, 3g2, asf, avi, flv, gvi, iphone, ipod, m4v, mov, mp4, mpg, ogg, rm, rmvg, vob, and wmv. Believe me, I understand NONE of these!

Thanks for any help!!!!

Neal IMnsHO you chose the wrong format and now you must use Flip4Mac to save the WMV's as .MOV files. I would then import the files into iMovie, then use "Send to iDVD" to make your DVD. To do so you must import the movie files on your hard disk (email attachment). iTunes help says: You can import video from any file in one of the following formats: MPE...See More

from the OP Hi, Neal,

Since I can go to zamzar again and have the YouTube videos converted for me and sent to my email, which format would you suggest? This way, I'm not stuck with the Flip4Mac thingy.

Once I select the better format, what are the next steps for getting these on a DV...See More

OP w/msg I didn't realize this. Most of the videos I wanted to burn to DVD were from my camera and of our pets doing cute things! I'm sure there is a way to do this from camera to computer, but I don't know how and uploading to youtube was easy.

Thank you for the information as I did not know this about the Terms.

I will definitely foll...See More

Neal ut all your .mov files in one place so you know where they are. Open an iMovie - import or add the files, you can edit them (cut out bloopers or bad parts) put transistions between movies or scenes, add audio track or music... then when finished send to iDVD.

Good Luck, N.

Randy My recommendation is to download as a .mov file and then bring it into imovie. From there you can burn it as a DVD
