I am a new tech teacher for a private school. The grades range from pre-k to 4th grade. One of the most challenging grades is prek. These children have 2 hours of scheduled class time a week. Average age is 4 years old. I've been working on basic mouse skills, but they either get frustrated or bored with these activities. Anyone have suggestions on what you work on with this group? I'm opposed to having them sit and play games online if possible.

Jayne Wow.. 2 hours a week is a long time for pre-k. I reduced my time with pre-K to 30 minutes a week and I really think it is perfect. It is much more important that the kids learn pro social skills rather tahn how to use a computer.

CTJS Wow! Two hours in computer class a week for PreK, that really sounds excessive. It goes against all the research. They would be better off doing some type of physical activity.
