Counselor Caseload

Hi, I'm a second year counselor and I work in a turn- around school with many failing students. I have about 380 students on my caseload freshman through seniors. I'm the contact for upward bound, on the advanced ed team, I write the senior newsletter and update the scholarships. My freshmen and sophomores aren't really allowed toleave the classroom. I see them more in groups. My juniors I see most during times when we are doing scheduling conflicts.

I'm a pretty organized individual and usually try to do a lot ahead. I've already talked to all my seniors and did groups with every class level last semester. I noticed the other two counselors I work with have a constant stream of students in their office and constant parent conferences. My parents leave me voicemails or may email me if they are tech savvy. Sometimes they pop up for a conference when necessary.
