I teach 7th grade reading/8th grade English. I'm looking for a fun craft-based activity for figurative language that isn't too elementary that my students can use as a tool for their reading/writing.

If you continually point out literary and rhetorical devices in the items you read together as a class after they do the figurative language projects, you should find that they really stick in the kids' brains!
