Does anyone have any new/recently written novels at their schools? Suggestions?
I'm looking desperately for new novels! I'm finding that the themes of our classics are just not so universally applicable anymore.
I tried to get "Feed" but it had too many swears. Someone suggested "White Oleander" - might be good. I got "Into the Wild" for the department a few years ago.

Just to add to that, I'm looking for contemporary themes and settings - ideas, situations, and themes that the students can really relate to.

My juniors this year really like A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah.
