I work in a very small, rural district in an economically disadvantanged area. We have a huge problem with students not understanding grammar and mechanics. The textbook that was purchased before I began working here is written at a very high reading level (much too high for my students). I am struggling with how to incorporate grammar into my curriculum so that students can perform better on the state test. What resources are people using? Does anyone still have an English Grammar textbook? Help!
