I'm the CEO of an online ESL training company that hires a lot of teachers for ESL online ([link removed]).

I've noticed that unlike other areas of instruction (e.g. STEM, etc) online instruction in ESL is well received by most teachers who realize that interactive activities, blended with live instruction, produce good results.

Why is it that ESL instruction is better received than other subjects in this area for blended learning? I guess I'm just stumped that more people haven't embraced online, blended models for math and other language instruction. I've looked at what the folks at BYU are doing with TALL, and the student results are pretty impressive.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and get a feel for what teachers think about this.

Thanks
