I have recently taught at a high school for the past 11
years, this year I transfered to the middle school to try
and help prepare these 8th graders for high school. These
students go from a very structured setting to a 52 acre
campus with total freedom. I need ideas to help make this
transistion smoother, as about half of the 8th graders will
fail 1st term and have to repeat 9th. The high school is
within walking distance, would a day at the high school
give them a "wake-up" call? I would appreciate any ideas.
