What consequnces do you find effective for missing assignments?
jo/ma If a child chooses not to do an assignment and I am sure they are capable of doing it, I have them do it during a favorite activity (computer time, indoor recess in bad weather, learning center time, etc).

Mitzi If they can't do it, I help them and remember to assign something at their level next time. If they don't finish something that they are able to, they finish later in the day. If they don't turn in homework, I say nothing. I really just send homework for the parents who expect it.

What do you mean by effective? Do you mean that the student rarely has a missing assignment again? Or do you mean that the student gets the missing assignment handed in?
