Due to budget constraints there will be one day, in a six day schedule, next year when I will not have a prep period. Another day I will have 2 preps. What are some suggestions to fill in that time so the kids could have a fun break at some point throughout the day? I have never had this possibility in my schedule.

I've never had a "prep period" We do everything in our room. No one ever comes to take them for music, p.e., ect. In our district, it's only in grades 4-6.

Do you have time to prep before school? Afterschool? I'm at school by 7 am (class starts at 8:10) and leave about 2 hours after the kids go home. I have plenty of prep time

Diana Videos! I am not talking about watching Porky Pig Cartoons, but educational videos that relate to our learning standards.

There are wonderful 30 min. videos (Reading Rainbow from PBS, animal info filmed by Nat'l Geographic, Magic School Bus, etc.) I don't have time during our lessons to use these, so I show them during times when I don't h...See More
