Ipad in Classroom

Do you think that Ipad's are good technological tools to integrate into your lessons in the classroom, or is it more of a distraction for the students because it is more of like a toy or something to play with to them?

Bob A toy! You could subscribe to Google Docs for some productivity software, but purchasing netbooks/laptops, etc. might be a wiser purchase in my opinion.

kteachIL My school bought 20. With teh computer tech, I downloaded the apps from our reading series of our leveled readers I have the kids read the stories. I put them on shelves and leveled them. It has been successful so far.
