I want to write a message to a student who only speaks French. Can you help me? Something like It was a pleasure to have you this year. Best of luck in the future. (in high school) thanks
Hello to all, I have been using"discovering french" for the past 11 years and liked it a lot but feel like it's time to find something more recent. Any suggestions? I really need to find something good ASAP! Please help me find something good! Merci :)

I keep getting a "page not found" error. I will answer the ones I can remember... We've used the AIM programme for three years now. There are two of us who teach French at our school. Up until now, I've taught only the two kindergarten classes and she has taught the rest. Next year, I'll be doing all the French starting in December when she goes on maternity leave. The other teacher went to a one-day workshop in about April of 2009 with great doubts and came back all fired up, really wanting to use it. We both went to the "summer institute" in 2009 and began using the programme that September. There's more written work than I wanted for the kindergarten kids, so after the first year, I used a combination of what I had been doing and the AIM programme. She has used AIM combined with occasional songs and videos from other sources since then. We both attended the summer institute again last year and were able to get different ideas from it. I think that you said something about grades 5 and 6. The "Histoires en Action" kit 1 is probably what you'd want. It has three plays in it, starting with "Les Trois Petits Cochons". AIM recommends one unit for 50 hours of instruction, or about two per year, but we just do one for each grade at our school. Sorry for the delay getting back to you, and I hope this does post. Let me know if you have other questions. Diana
I am looking for a beginer French text book (introduction to french) for middle school. I have tried each previous links on that matter but for some reason none of them seem to work. I would like your opinion regarding: Exploring French (by EMC [link removed].
Caring people (with or without children) are needed to provide food, a bed and a loving home for one or two semesters starting in late August. EMF high school students are between the ages of fifteen and eighteen, have medical insurance, spending money for their personal expenses and expect to share their host family’s daily life including household responsibilities. They speak English, are well-screened and eager to experience life in America. Their stay here is sponsored and supervised by EMF (Educational Merit Foundation), a non-profit, educational exchange organization. Interested host families are encouraged to contact EMF as soon as possible. I am a department chair of FL language and a Spanish teacher...so I need a little help for a new French teacher I will have in my department this year. Currently she is trying to develop her curriculum for next year to meet the needs of the adapted guidelines for the AP French Language and Culture course. Are there any resources or text books out there that can help us with this?
Upon my recommendation, National Textbook Co. added to its list of books for AP the following: Civilisation en dialogues, niveau débutant and also niveau intermédiaire. Either is perfect for use a the core culture textbook that will hit on all 6 themes. A seperat grammar book and vocabulary book will be needed. I suggest, Vocabualaire progressive du français niveau avancé. Both are from CLE International, France. "En bonne forme" is the recommended grammar book.
Sincerely,
James O'Donnell Dept. Chair French II, III, IV/V-AP SHAPE High School Belgium

You might be in JubiLingua card games, which are fun ways for students to practice French verb conjugations and tenses. It's a new company that just launched its first games for etre/avoir (present tense) and -er verbs. Others, including passe compose, will be ready in the next couple of months. See what you think at [link removed]!
