Just som bibs and bobs.

Some of you may know that I am running these days. I can't believe I'm actually doing it. I've now run 5km without stopping, 3 times in my life - the last three Saturdays. I'm slow, but getting faster. This morning I sprinted to the finish. My average speed was about 7km/hour, but that last hit got up to 12km/hour. I felt like I was flying! My broken leg has thoroughly healed. There are times I think that it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Previous to this year I've had just three interviews in my life. This week I had two. They were middle management roles in each of my teaching departments. Though I didn't get either of them, I interviewed well and got encouraging feedback about continuing to put myself forward. In each case the bosses went away saying "I didn't know you could do that." Betty Ann How wonderful to have the opportunity to teach some of what gives you joy.

It sounds as if the determination, perseverance, and confidence you have gained through the ordeal with your leg and know taking up running are permeating all areas of your life. A blessing in disguise.
