If so, then after each crash there should be a dialog window telling you that your system crashed. From that you can usually identify the problem. If not, then you need to start problem solving.
First thing you need to do is boot into Safe Mode. Google it.
Have you installed any new hardware? The BSOD is usally the result of hardware conflicts. I only experience it with my video drivers, and I would bet that that is your problem. Regardless, I would go to the video card vendors site and download their latest drivers.
I know the Vista just had an update and I got a BSOD, I always do after updates, and shot straight to ATI and downloaded their driver. The irony is that it was the Windows version of the ATI driver that I downloaded that crashed my system
Try that and see what happens. If it does not, then we can try the next possible solution.
I am wondering if twitter would be a usable tool for teachers. I am new to it, but I can see how I can use it to tweet updates on assignments, reminders, word of the day, tips, discussions, etc. My concern is permission to have students link to it. I would like to know your thoughts.

A form of harassment via text messaging, IM, blogs, chat rooms and web threads has taken prevalence in recent years. - Guy Weaver in Teachers.Net Gazette, September 2009

Now, Google has implemented the ability for anyone (parents or teachers) with a Google account (i.e.: gmail or blogger) to log in and "LOCK" the safe search setting to the maximum level (strict filtering).
The great thing about this setting is that the filtering cannot be deactivated without logging into the Google account user that first locked it. I found a video of how to go it at [link removed]

Can anyone recommend a good virus protection program. My computer was infected with 200 viruses. I had Avast on it. Definitely need something better. What a headache!
Webroot is a great Anti-virus software. I had issues awhile back. The virus locked up my computer. I had to goto Best Buy due to this. It cost me over $100 to get it fixed. They used webroot. I bought the software for $50. No problems since. It helps to use a firewall setting, which windows usually has for free. Make sure all the settings in your virus software are correct. Schedule regular scans. Scan all emails and attacments. Never open mail from "unknown", unless you scan it.
Have you been scanning regularly, doing maintenance regularly, and staying away from harmful websites?
I know it sounds strange, having to work even when you have an anti-virus, but this statement holds true: humans are the weakest link in computer security.
This information would be very useful for anyone who works, plays or socializes on the Internet. It is written for the teen / young adult population (ages 14-24) and would be a great addition to any classroom technology curriculum.

I've put a link below to a search tool that searches the simple edition of Wikipedia for kids, or you can go to [link removed]
Incidentally, this search tool is powered by Google was Safe Search activated.
Are you able to login at all?
