My unit plans are the most detailed. I pull out what I need from the unit plan on a weekly basis. Before I go home I update my plans for the next day and make certain I have all of the materials ready to go. IF for some reason I am not in the next day, a sub could follow what I have because we are blessed with super subs - all of whom have degrees in education. However, if my absence is a planned one, I usually revise my plans for the sub to make it easier.
Jb I do the same. This year I will be planning with the other 3rd grade classroom teacher and am really looking forward to it.

wig I have basic unit plans for the four different social studies classes and religion class I teach. They get tweaked and revised every year, but I have a basic plan. Religion is pretty much from scratch, but I follow the state pacing guide (kind of) for SS and adjust accordingly. I have taught the same classes for 25 years so its hard to remember wha...See More
