Hi. I am a new 6th grade reading teacher. I will be
starting my first novel with them in the next couple of
weeks. Can someone explain to me the best way to "teach" a
novel? How do I keep everyone (fast readers and slow
readers) at the same pace? I imagine reading-aloud the
whole book would take up too much time. How do I start
discussions after silent reading if some kids aren't done
their chapter(s)? Any suggestions/experiences would be
great! Thanks in advance. :o)
