I am trying to compile a bibliography for books about Native Americans. I would love to know what you're using in your classroom and how students are responding. Thank you

Barbara Kingsolver did a couple: The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven.

For a couple years, everyone was teaching it.

Cece I have used the site Oyate.org with great success to find authentic Native American literature. The site is currently under re-construction, but still has some resources up and running. An old favorite for me is Light in the Forest. I like Dogsong too.
