I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am compiling Summer Reading lists for my students in grades K- 8. I am looking for multiple genre, high interest books. Does anyone have any suggestions for specific books? Thank you in advance!

Kansascity gal I would suggest putting some newer books on the list and maybe a short story book. My Mother's Tattoo And Other Stories For Kids is a suggestion. It can be read to younger students or alone and will be of interest to many. It also is timely. Be bold and don't fall into the same ole list of books.

Alexandra I just commented about this book on another post, but Chasing Vermeer is an excellent mystery for 5-8th grade. I am sure you can look up the lexile at lexile.com to be sure in which grade it would be most useful. But, Chasing Vermeer also has 2 other books in its series-they are just hard to find in bookstores-ordering them is really the only way. ...See More
