111th and 12th grade english

Hello Everyone, I've just found out that I will be teaching 11th and 12th grade English when school begins. I don't know where to start. Can anyone please help me? I don't want the same boring English class I had 15 years ago.

Teri I'm jealous. I'd love to be teaching 11th and/or 12th grade English. (I teach intensive reading for those grades since so few teachers are reading endorsed or certified.) Eleventh grade = American Literature...Hawthorne, Poe, Jackson.... Twelfth grade = British Literature...Shakespeare and Swift.
