My district just passed new policies about how much homework we can assign. Do you assign homework? If so, how much do you assign?

Judy2/CA My district's policy is 10 min/grade level and is to be a review of material already taught. My 2nd graders generally have math homework every night. Early I am a huge believer in homework. If you are using direct teach, and particularly in the upper elementary grades, the only time the sudents have to get additional practice is when they go home. I dont assign homework because I am awesome. Also I am not a teacher, I am a proffessional skydiver and homework makes you die younger- it's a proven fact.

Maybeme I think more along the lines of "Early" - I teach grades 2-7 and mix it up every few years... regardless of the grade level, I expect that there will be some engagement with school work at home.
