I am a veteran teacher who has been using the old I do, We do, You do method and it is not working. My kids are not learning. They have no interest in learning. This was my first year at a STEAM school but as a math department, we have not talked one time about how to incorporate STEAM into the curriculum. I want to completely switch to a method that engages my students and get them where they are excited to be there and they are learning. I teach Algebra 1 and 2. I really don't know where to go to get started to incorporate a program like this. Is there a program that is free or fairly cheap that I can use that has the whole year set up with hands on activities, engaging lessons, etc or do I have to put all of this together by myself? If anyone out there that is having success in the Alg 1 and 2 classroom, please hit me up. Thanks!!!
