I am a k-2 general music educator that was, recently, exposed to the Fierebend method. I am interested in starting my pre-k and K students, this way, next year. However, I wanted to get some feedback from other educators who may have already eployed this methodology. If you have, would you let me know if you saw marked improvements in your students' skill levels, engagement, excitement, etc...and whether you would recommend this methodology? Thanks!
Lis Hi, Amber. I haven't used his methods because I teach older students, but I have had a workshop that he led. I thought it was phenomenal and I agree with his educational philosophy 100%. I did get two of his books and also a movement dvd, and have incorporated them when I can. I don't think you will go wrong with his materials.

bec Fierabend has a book called "First Steps in Music" That tells you exactly what to do in each class. I strongly suggest also getting the music CDs that go with it, "Old Joe Clark, Had little Rooster, and one more????
