Hello, I'm a new PE instructor for K-5th grades. I'm trying to put together an incentive program but am stuck. I ordered stickers for the kids and I'd like to offer a "free day" but I'm not sure how I go about establishing guidelines. I have almost 300 students so I'm a little overwhelmed on how I'm going to administer incentives. Please let me know what works for you. I appreciate your help.

Julie Reuter Thank you, Patrick! I appreciate your response. I actually am in the process of implementing that very same incentive. I am making up a soccer field poster. Each class is represented by a soccer ball. Each day they have PE with no reprimands, I'll move the ball closer to the goalie. Once they make a goalie, they will have their choice PE. Thank you...See More

He shares his gym with another teacher every two days and two teachers on the third day. In other words they have either 2 or 3 classes in the gym together every day/all day. Our building houses 1...See More

cjode I have mentioned doing a similar field with my students and they sound absolutely thrilled with the idea. My problem is having space to do this. I teach in the middle school gym and my students are in elementary and come across the street. So, I need to figure out a hall space in the elementary building that is suitable for the students to see and ...See More

Julie Reuter Yes, I'm impressed with Missouri also! The problem is not that my kids are not interested in PE or don't like it. PE is their favorite subject and they are thrilled to get to the gym and have fun while learning. They are definitely engaged in it when we have class. That is not the issue at all. Sometimes kids can't or don't control their excitement...See More
