Does anyone have any ideas about the best way to remove tape and tape residue from a gym floor? The floor is concrete, sealed but not painted. We would like to paint the lines for our basketball court this time rather than use tape, and need to completely remove any residue. So far, we have tried simple scraping with a putty knife, wax stripper with a stripping machine, and paint thinner (acetone).

Thanks for your help.
Elizabeth Try using nail-polish remover. I used it to remove constructon tape from a paneled wall, and it got all the residue off without damaging the wall.

Try Goo-Be-Gone You should be able to get it at WalMart, Target, etc. Home Depot and Lowes may also have it.

Good luck!

sage I see that the BOLD RED ACCUSARY and THREATENING POSTING has been removed by the so-called thread moderator. He could have apologized.
