Tim FinneganHmmm... reminds me of when Big Union was against Obamacare because of the hit to their Cadillac health care plans. Wonder if the Republicans can create a workaround for their friends in the construction industry.
Those foreigners will get a tax cut of 700 billion over ten years or 70 billion per year. Bernie Sanders tuition-free college is estimated to cost $75 billion per year. This is not "America first" policy.

The question now is if the current administration is capable of defending our democracy from Russian interference.
Tim FinneganAnd can you remind me who is responsible for taking out OBL? Seems a lot want to give the credit to President Obama instead of seal team 6, and all of the intelligence gathered by the previous admin.
Bob R/CACalling out Trump on his abhorrent behavior is becoming fashionable. When fellow Republican senators say the president is incapable of telling the truth, and a danger to national security, the prospect of Senate removal becomes very conceivable. And we're still in the first 300 days - wait 'til Speaker Pelosi has subpoena power....
The reason is simple! The media is owned and operated by and for the benefit of the rich and corporations. For example, the author wrote, "It's not that media is suppressing stories intentionally. It's that these stories don't reflect their interests and beliefs."
I would disagree! The Main Stream Media suppresses stories all the time, and the stories most likely to be suppressed are stories in which the left and right might agree. Divisiveness and constant infighting is what the rich and corporations want to see, and their media is there to foster all of the division it can!
The first line in the article is, "Most reporters and editors are liberal." If you read this and felt validated, you are being suckered. It is not the liberals who are either your enemy or your problem. It is just that the rich and their media want you to think that liberals are your problem, and, so long as you continue to think that way, they will continue to rob you blind.
PS: There are enough crazies on both sides to justify one side thinking that those on the other side are all idiots. It is time for both sides to admit there are idiots in their midst!
1. "I don't think there's any evidence that what the Russians did changed enough votes — or any votes."
2. "(Pres. Obama) made some very wonderful statements, in my opinion, when he first got in office, and then he reneged on that,"
3. "I think the media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I've known about. I think they feel free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation."
4. Carter doesn't like seeing players kneel during the national anthem. He agrees they have a right to protest, but not in such a stupid way. Pres. Carter said, "I think they ought to find a different way to object, to demonstrate. I would rather see all the players stand during the American anthem."
IMHO:
1. It is nice to know that there are Americans who still want to see the evidence!
2. Obama could have been the new FDR, but he chose to be rich after his presidency instead. History will be hard on him!
3. The comment does not mean either Pres. Carter or I agree with Pres. Trump's policies. It is just that this "witch hunt" is damaging the country!
4. Your protests should not damage your place of employment. The concussion issue always was going to end football as we know it. This could hasten the end. Plus, the protest is stupid because it did not result in a discussion of the issue being protested. Rather, the topic of discussion is the protest itself.
Phil Rockstroh, in the article below starts with this comment, "Under capitalism, the activity will be commodified. Sexuality is deemed a 'human resource.' And, as is the case with the finite resources of all things on planet earth, designated as fodder for exploitation by ruthless profiteers."
But the real reason the "isms" will not go away is found below!
(Quote)
For the maintenance of a colonized order to be maintained, empathy must be denuded, fear and antipathy of the alien other must be perpetuated thereby obstructing any inclination towards mutual respect, and incipient feelings of affinity between the tribe granted a favoured, dominant position and the tribes subjugated into positions of low status. Alliances among the exploited would prove dangerous to the elites whose fortunes are dependant on perpetual racial and ethnic division and divisiveness. Then, as now, class consciousness must be suppressed by the fomenting of racial (or sexual) resentments.

Worse, the article was written by Phil Rocks...See MoreI do not know what the point is! I found the article over at commondreams.org. Yet, the interesting argument is still that "racism and sexism will never go away so long as capitalism is our economic system."
Maybe posters like Chalky should actually write something on the issue at hand.
Worse, the article was written by Phil Rockstroh, who is a poet, lyricist and philosopher bard living, now, in Munich, Germany. Now I suppose Chalky thinks both of us are Russia lovers. Well, that would be wrong. I just like the truth!
