Neoliberal Capitalism has failed so astoundingly, yet our biggest problem is, most Americans cannot imagine another system.

The newest example is the drug naloxone, which is used to reverse opioid overdose. The title of the article tells it all, "The price of a life-saving overdose treatment has increased 680&37; to $4,500 in the last 3 years."

The lesson is, capitalism does not foster competition. It eliminates competition. Worse, it will even take over your government. By way of Medicare and others, the federal government pays for the lion's share of drug costs in this country, and they are barred by law from negotiating lower prices.

And finally, our economic system kills people. There are still Americans who cannot afford the medicine they need with many suffering needlessly and others dying.

It is time for something different! Something that works for sick people!
