Now an alleged terrorist attack on Atlanta

The Tsarnaev brothers (the Boston bombers) were not from, nor had they visited any of the countries on the banned list! They were American citizens with Russian roots.

The San Bernardino attacker were perpetrated by a couple of Pakistani descent, one a US citizen, the other a green card holder, who had traveled to Saudi Arabia, but not to any of the countries on Trump's list. They legally bought multiple semi- automatic weapons which they used to mow down their co- workers.

So again, Trump and his spokespeople refuse to let facts get in the way of a good story. Instead they raise the specter of scary Muslims and pretend they're doing something that will be effective in stopping terrorist attacks, when in reality what they're doing would have done absolutely nothing to stop the attacks they cite.

Spicer has now indicated that he "clearly meant Orlando" instead of saying on three different occasions that there was a terrorist attack in Atlanta.

The Orlando shooter was born in the US to Afghan parents.

Again, a country *not* on the banned list.

So, of the three attacks that Spicer and Conway have touted as proof that a ban is necessary, none of those attackers had connections to the countries on the banned list.

The only thing those attackers had in common was their religion.
