Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and ***even himself*** in connection with the probe, according to one of those people. A second person said Trump's lawyers have been discussing the president's pardoning powers among themselves.

If he is impeached, as democrats like Maxine Waters really hope will happen (much worse than hoping for a one term president), I am not sure what the current crimes he would be charged with are. However, many democrats have already made the assumption that he is guilty and should be locked up. Seems they don't believe in a fair trial.

You say that the President's son admitted to a crime. Why is he not charged and on trial? If the evidence is there, he should be tried and convicted or let free. Again, no desire to defend the President, just pointing out a lot of the hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle.

From what I've read, if he's impeached he's open to being prosecuted. The question is can he pardon himself before being indicted/convicted.
