Working with republicans in a state that is controlled completely by democrats, Oregon passed a health care bill to cover 95% of adults and 100% of children. It will cover every man, woman, and other preferred gender pronouns. It will also cover illegal immigrants.

Passing the bill did require a tax increase, but it is good to see a state take on problems with Obamacare at the state level. I hope that more states will work locally to solve some of our problems.

Bob R/CA I'd like to see Texas demonstrate a similar concern for humanity. Their state has the highest percent uninsured children in America.

Bob R/CA No, you don't. Your party is going to get dragged kicking and screaming to better healthcare, just as it was dragged kicking and screaming to the ACA. And after all your kicking, and your screaming, you're going to again enjoy better healthcare. And then, without missing a beat, get back to your kicking and screaming.

Bob R/CA I don't insist it become a federal program - I want the federal program to set the minimum standards for coverage. Like civil rights, if the states want to surpass those minimum standards, that's fine with me.
