I was wondering if anyone does a traveling mascot activity. My co-teacher described it as sending home a bag or basket containing a stuffed animal and a notebook, along with instructions to include the the toy in some kind of family activity over the weekend, and write about it, draw about it, and/or take some photos to put in the notebook. Then when they bring it back to school, the child can tell the class about it and share what they added to the notebook. Does anyone do this? What does your letter about it say?
