How concern would you be if a child makes threatening statements about hurting himself? I need input and perspective.

TeachinNC I would go to the guidance counselor, let the principal know, etc. and document everything.

FMT This is exactly what I did. I don't think the mom was real happy with me. But I felt it was the right thing to do even if it in my opinion I felt like it was not what any of the parties involved wanted to face. I like to get other teachers' perspective .
