The upper grades (5-8) went to the church and Father went over the events at Mass the night before and what would be done on Good Friday and the Vigil. Then the kids rotated between 3 classes- I did a "Christian Seder Meal" with pita bread, parsley, applesauce, and grape juice. I got the readings on-line. The 7th and 8th graders really enjoyed it. They made 'salvation bracelets" and a stained glass cross with contructson and tissure paper. They all said they had a good day. The younger kids made a cross out of sugar cubes, Easter figures, and a jelly bean cross. We will make sure that snow days are built into the schedule so that we NEVER have to do this again. But we will do it on Holy Thursday next year. May you have a blessed Easter!
