Hi everyone,

I have just been offered a job at a private high school. They asked me if I was willing to attend AP training, and I said yes, thinking that the cost of the training would be covered by the school. Now I am getting the feeling that I may have to pay for it myself. As it costs around $900, this is no small thing, especially as I am taking a big paycut by going to this school from a public school setting. (And I will need to complete the training over the summer, two months before I receive my first paycheck from the school.) Is it normal for teachers to have to pay for their own AP training in a private school setting? Is this considered reasonable? I am wondering what I should do about this situation. Thanks for any advice you can give me!
