A question for any professors who teach any freshmen level classes- Do you ever have the problem of disruptive freshmen who behave as if they were still in high school? How do you 'break them in'? A friend who teaches a freshman history class told me his shock at how freshmen will think nothing of taklking on their cellphones during his class- Another professor friend has a very strict policy- If she has to talk to a student 3 times regarding their behvavior, they are kicked out of the class-for good. What is your approach?
