I love teaching science and I wanted to love this chapter. I agree that we can't teach science simply as the text we use while teaching reading and that reading and writing are tools that students need to inquire and investigate. But, sigh, I feel defeated in advance thinking about organizing science shaped by investigations while teaching reading and writing as the tools. It just seems so overwhelming.
