So-called because we used to put it in the oven after supper and then watch the Miss America Pageant! LOL!

Miss America Pie

1 large can sliced pineapple 1 large can crushed pineapple 1 box yellow cake mix 1 stick butter Line bottom of cold skillet with pineapple slices. Cover with crushed pineapple. Pour cake mix over pineapple. Top with one stick of butter, in pats. Put in cold oven at 300º for one hour.

(Add cherry or blueberry pie filling instead of sliced pineapple.)

Should be smelling good by the time the talent starts up.

Paula Deen's recipe? My sis make this one year, and while a tiny bit too sweet for me, it was indeed verrrry good.

Louisiannie, who only cooks on holidays, you see! I've done cherry and blueberry pie filling (WITH the pineapple bits).

I've never tried pumpking, but MUD would taste good in this cake!
