We have a family reunion coming up and I have drawn a blank about what to take. I have a great dessert, but need something more. I was thinking of something cool and light, like a good salad or something along that line.

However, I will take all ideas because I want to contribute something yummy.

Maria This is a salad everyone enjoys! Be sure not to put the dressing on until you are ready to serve it. Otherwise it gets soggy!

Broccoli Salad

1 red onion, chopped bunch of broccoli 1 cup Spanish peanuts 1 cup raisins

Tricia RAMEN NOODLE CABBAGE SALAD

Ramen Noodle Salad--very light and yummy! 1 head cabbage, shredded 8 green onions, sliced 1/2 c. sunflower seeds 1/2 c. toasted almond slices 2 pkgs. Ramen noodles oriental, uncooked

Not to be a cheater but Costco has an excellent prepackaged version of this salad and it is complete. No onions but it comes with the broccoli florets as well as shredded broccoli and carrot, a package of soy nuts, bacon bits and dried cranberries and a pouch of coleslaw type dressing (like the one in the recipe below. Red Cabbage Toss

2 cups slice red cabbage 1 cup raw cauliflower (broken into small florets) 1/2 cup sliced celery 2 tsp chopped onion (adjust to taste - I use more)
